![]() I wonder if we'll ever be able to revisit classics as easily as we did with the Virtual Console. This desire could also be satisfied by implementing a decent system that preserves Nintendo's legacy titles, but it's hard to see that as a priority for Nintendo these days. That would open the door to seeing games like the Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask remakes games I've wanted on Switch for a while now, actually. On a related note, it's a mystery as to why Nintendo hasn't been in the business of re-releasing popular 3DS games on the Switch. ![]() Nintendo could also port Star Fox 64 3D just to get a "good" Star Fox on the Switch. I bought the game at launch, played it for an extended period of time, and never picked it up again. Much of the work would already be done if Platinum retooled preexisting assets to work with a more traditional control scheme. I don't think it's something we would be involved in, to be honest. That was a game that they were interested in making and kind of just lent out an offer to us "hey, would you like to kind of work on this with us".Īs far as the future of any ports or whatever, maybe concern, no conversations have come our way. Star Fox was, you know, an IP that Nintendo has had way before we entered the picture. To be honest we wouldn't have the slightest clue, Star Fox Zero was a bit of a special case for us. In a recent interview with the YouTube channel GameXplain, Atsushi Inaba of PlatinumGames admitted the company has no idea if it's returning, but said it hasn't been approached by Nintendo about it. One of the few major Wii U releases that could still potentially be ported across to the Nintendo Switch is the Platinum-developed title, Star Fox Zero.Īlthough the controls would need a massive overhaul, many Star Fox fans are still wondering what the chances are of it happening.
